Asphalte was formed in the Isle of Man in 1989. Before that the directors
had been involved in working in the building industry in Yorkshire. When
the business was established on the Island several key members of staff
relocated from Yorkshire and are still working with the company. Our tradesman
are certified under the Certification of Craftmen scheme and the company
is on the Isle of Man Government’s List of Approved Contractors. We
are also members of the National Federation for Roofing Contractors.
Over the past 20 years we have witnessed numerous changes within the
roofing and waterproofing business. With new specifications and different
types of materials available in the market place it is vital to keep up
to date on products. Clover Asphalte has made a concerted effort to get
staff trained in the use of these materials. One major change is that
insurance and guarantees are available on many products and we can discuss
the options available when work is being priced. Clover Asphalte will
generally use products that are not only warranted for performance but
give the client an overall package guarantee,
Health & Safety is now an integral part of the building industry
but working safely and within the law comes at a price. All our operatives
have completed numerous Health & Safety courses and continual assessment
and training are now part of our every day life in the construction industry.
Clover Asphalte carries full insurance for all operatives, the public
and third parties. A full audit and cover assessment is carried out annually
by our Insurance company who has dealt with our business for the past
twenty years.
